Highfox Posted June 28, 2017 Author Posted June 28, 2017 I can only think this is going to cause some injury to his neck shoulders and that pulling finger at least. His posture dosen't look that comfy Good for Sire if the bass can stay in tune for the whole 5 hours. Quote
musicbassman Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 Sounds like the local music shop on a Saturday morning circa 1990......................... Quote
TheGreek Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 I think even the most avid slap fan is going to get bored with this. Will anybody actually tune in for the whole 5hrs? Quote
Bass_Guardian Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 Imagine needing a big dump 2 hours into this.. Quote

ivansc Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 At least he doesn't appear to be attempting to actually do anything remotely musical during the 5 hours.... Quote
fleabag Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 (edited) Thats because there's nothing remotely musical as far as slap bass goes. Well, there's exceptions of course, but they're in the minority Mark Plati springs to mind and shows how its possible to be musical http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNqo0kIR-TU Edited June 28, 2017 by fleabag Quote
Thunderbird Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 Slapping aside his bass playing is awesome I love his YouTube channel Quote

ped Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 I love slap. This guy on FB is quite cool - he responds to requests from people to do all sorts of things like 'play bass with a fidget spinner' and 'play guitar strings on a bass' so I presume this video is a response to a challenge. Quote

Never understand why he and Gail switched for that one. Quote
fleabag Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Someone on talkbass asked Plati on his forum and Plati replied saying they got bored, and since GAD is a decent guitar player and can also slap just as well, it didnt make any difference, and they had some fun in the meantime Quote
