aguacollas Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017
Two outstanding solos on 'Street Life', especially the Tenor solo from Wilton Felder.
Great solos. Great song. Quote
darkandrew Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 (edited) David Gilmour's solo from Pink Floyd's "High Hopes" is one of my favourites. Edited July 9, 2017 by darkandrew Quote
Nibody Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Going for 3 - Layla (Dereck and the Dominos) - You can feel the pain in each note when Clapton lets rip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Izfg7YU9VgE Then One Small Day - Ultravox. Midge Ure is a VERY underated guitarist https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydywCOCr46k Finally a hip hop record of sorts - Bomb the Bass - Dont Make Me Wait. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_42p66WeM0 Quote

MoonBassAlpha Posted July 16, 2017 Posted July 16, 2017 The solo on the single version of 25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago is concise and flippin ace. Terry Kath was the shizz. The horns ain't too shabby either. Could only find the album length version on YouTube Quote

BrunoBass Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 'Don't Speak' by No Doubt. It's an amazing, heartfelt song anyway, and the beautiful solo at 2.44 by Tom Dumont is the icing on the cake. http://youtu.be/TR3Vdo5etCQ Quote

Brett Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Always loved John McGeoghs playing in the Banshees and I'm pretty certain it was the solo from Shot by both sides that grabbed peoples attention. https://youtu.be/TCULiAKoDcM Quote
leschirons Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Couple come to mind. Both Steve Lukather (well certainly the first one and probably the second one) Rosanna and Running with the night by Lionel Richie. Quote
Guest Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Hate to admit to knowing the personnel on a Lionel Richie track but yes, Running With The Night was Steve Lukather. Also a wicked bass part and especially tone from "Ready" Freddie Washington Quote

Not sure that Freddie Washington was even on the album? Abe Laborial and Nathen East were also both on the album.
