SH73 Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 I'm looking for a budget Floyd Rose guitar. I like these two being IM fan but read mixed reviews. I need a guitar with a Floyd Rose with a lock to record songs. Can anyone advise? https://www.andertons.co.uk/p/2913052576/solid-body-electric-guitars/jackson-adrian-smith-sdx-maple-neck-snow-white https://www.andertons.co.uk/p/2913051576/solid-body-electric-guitars/jackson-adrian-smith-sdx-rosewood-neck-snow-white?LGWCODE=2913051576;56375;6335&gclid=CKTplsCW79QCFeYp0wodFtcNjw
LiamPodmore Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 I'd take a look at Ibanez myself. They're not Floyd Rose bridges, but the Edge system is just as good from my experiences.
randythoades Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 +1 for Ibanez. For that sort of money I would look for a used Japanese RG from 90s. Pick them up on ebay for probably a little less than that but excellent guitars and will hold its value. I think the Edge is overall a better system than genuine Floyd Rose.
adamg67 Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Yep, second hand Ibanez RG would get my vote if you're on a budget and you're looking at the kind of guitars you linked to. There will be lots of choice and you would get the same spec and quality for less money or a lot more guitar for the same money.
Kiwi Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 Ibanez are good...or you could consider a Yamaha RGX - loads on ebay for around the £250 mark.
police squad Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I bought my wife an Ibanez JEM jr 18 months ago. It's an amazing guitar for the money, (forget the money, it's a really nice thing to play) sounds great too
