Jimelliottbassist Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 (edited) Up for sale is my USA Fender Standard Jazz. With stacked knobs on. Plays like a dream as it's had a professional set up. Comes fitted with TI Flats and has a rosewood fret board with a metallic silver finish on the body. It's in great condition. Comes with pro tec gig bag. I'm only selling as I've decided to stop playing. Edited July 7, 2017 by Jimelliottbassist
Quatschmacher Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 (edited) What year is this? Does it have custom shop pickups? Where are you based? Also, it looks like Oly White rather than metallic silver, so which is correct, pictures or description? Edited July 7, 2017 by Quatschmacher
Jimelliottbassist Posted July 7, 2017 Author Posted July 7, 2017 (edited) Based in London. Original USA Fender standard pickups.added another photo to try and give a better idea regarding the colour. Edited July 7, 2017 by Jimelliottbassist
Quatschmacher Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Still looks Oly White to me, maybe my eyesight is ruined. Whereabouts in London?
Jimelliottbassist Posted July 7, 2017 Author Posted July 7, 2017 New Cross but I'm happy to meet anywhere in London really.
Quatschmacher Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 I've just re-read regarding the pickups (I was looking for CS). Is this the older "Blizzard Pearl" finish perhaps? I seem to remember that those had a kind of sparkly white-ish colour.
Freebird Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 (edited) I just bought an amazing Precision bass off Jim, and his statement "Plays like a dream as it's had a professional set up" certainly rings true. All of Jim's basses have been worked on by one of the very best luthiers in the business, and that includes the setup and the fretwork. If I had some more cash I would buy this! Jimelliottbassist Posted July 12, 2017 Author Posted July 12, 2017 Thanks Feebird. The Jazz bass is also in asnew condition. £700 Ono
geofio Posted July 13, 2017 Posted July 13, 2017 the colour is down to white balance on the camera, hold colour to capture unless camera is set up correctly cool bass.
Freebird Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 (edited) Is this the colour known as blizzard pearl? It looks pretty tricky to capture it accurately in a photo, and a Google image search shows a quite bit of colour variation ... but I imagine it looks great in real life. Below is a random photo I found depicting a blizzard pearl jazz bass. Edited July 14, 2017 by Freebird
