Graham
Received this Darryl Jones 5 today, it's a great bass - light, comfortable and sounds just like a jazz should. My practice set-up is a bit bland, so can't wait to play this funk machine through my EBS at tomorrow's gig. I'll see if I can get some video of it then [Img]http://i.imgur.com/f6ZSFpf.jpg" class="ipsImage" /> [Img]http://i.imgur.com/OU2tFbI.jpg" class="ipsImage" /> The cat is pleased with it too [Img]http://i.imgur.com/ilqioox.jpg" class="ipsImage" />
Cato
That is exactly how I like my Jazz basses. Natural, black pick guard, maple board, black blocks, chrome hardware, complete with full cat accessory. NB. be careful when fitting the cat, they can be quite sharp if you attatch them incorrectly. Graham
The bass ia great, but I'm wondering if there's an issue with this batch of cats? It seems to spend most of it's time asleep
Sibob
Very cool!! Horray for Laklands. I sold my DJ4 to buy a US 44-94 (currently in customs), but would absolutely get another! Si

Graham
Just got in from my first gig with this, and my god what a wonderful instrument. It seems to match up with my EBS brilliantly, got that clear, tight, punchy tone I love; the articulation in the tone is so clear - nowhere to hide poor playing. It's also just so comfortable to play - the neck is a superb and the PLEK'd set-up just let me dance across the fretboard. I was coming up with new fills and changing riffs on the fly, it's a really inspiring instrument which has jumped to the number one spot in my collection.
