Hi guys, i've been lurking here a while and recently registered so i could buy a couple of effects pedals so i guess it is time to say hi!

I haven't been playing bass very long, maybe a few months. I played drums for quite a few years when i was younger, then children came along and took over my music room so i went to guitar for many years, which has now led me to bass. Maybe i am going to try to learn everything who knows!

I'm being thrifty at the moment and trying to put myself a reasonable starter setup together, whilst not allowing the Mrs to tell me its a fad and i'm waisting our money again haha. I did buy a couple of 14ft canoes once though on a whim so i can't blame her really. I did sit in one of them once though on grass.

I love funk, motown/northern soul, reggae, maybe a bit of Tool or Metallica depending on the mood.

So far i'm playing on a peavey milestone i picked up on gumtree, a peavey 50w microamp i got off ebay (for 16 quid, local pickup!), a micro Q-tron, EBS Fuzzmo, and on the way should be a KORG DT-10 tuner. I am considering a chorus pedal, volume pedal, maybe a drive DI. Maybe a divorce at this rate.
