How on earth can you tell which control is which on your average stage? Also it appears to use a standard 1/4" jack socket for the power. Surely that can't be a good idea?

3rd jack socket is for the expression pedal, power is on the side.

I agree about the readability issue, but when I had one at least, it was a case of set it and forget it, then sweep the filter with an expression pedal.

It's rather confusing that it says 9V DC just above the "expression pedal" socket then, isn't it?

Fully agree about the odd labelling of jacks! I've always wondered why he hasn't changed that. As far as the knobs, I guess with this particular finish our options are either set & forget, or become familiar enough with the controls to know what does what without being dependent upon labels. We manage it on basses with active preamps just fine!
