I've never played one or heard one in action... what do they sound like? Great full sound. Being active and mahogany it’s got a great frequency from the lows you’d expect to super clean highs. The ebony board gives each note fantastic definition too.
silverfoxnik
The description sounds lovely, just like the bass itself i expect.. I had a bass with an ebony board and it really did have that definition too. Am I right in thinking this is almost an Entwhistle Buzzard body shape? cd_david
I’d never noticed before but yes it has got a hint of Buzzard in it.

fleabag
Way better looking I owned an '84 around the early 2000's , and i've kicked my own head for selling it. Single , beautiful sounding Bill Lawrence pickup with genuine Ebony cover. Tone tone and more tone. Gutted of Oxfordshire

Makes this an even better instrument IMO.
cd_david
1 hour ago, Bigwan said: Interesting preamp - what does it do? Volume (push/pull) pick attack on pull (4khz boost) and a tone which is essetially a semi parametric boost with a small mini pot on the circuit board to adjust the frequency centre. Toggle switch is a coil tap, humbucker/single coil. Edited March 12, 2018 by cd_david
silverfoxnik
Not sure if this helpful or not, but it gives some idea of what these basses sound like ...
