BloodifiedPencil
My (beloved) Peavey Cirrus BXP seems has been having some issues with what I suspect is it's onboard preamp. When it's plugged in, I can't seem to get any sound, other than when I crank the gain on my interface . I'm not quite sure what the issue is exactly, the sound it makes through my interface is quiet and fuzzy which I've heard before when the batteries start to die so naturally, I replaced them but it didn't solve the issue this time. I've tried different instrument cables and amps with no results so I'm reaching out for some ideas on what it could be. I have no idea what the year is as the BXP and al the other Peavey import basses aren't serialized by year so I can't check the age. I would greatly appreciate some advice on this and any preamp suggestions if my current one is dead Cheers Edited July 19, 2017 by BloodifiedPencil
Soulman
Have you checked that the jack socket is ok and not shorting, these can breakdown and then you get the bad contact thing going on,good luck.
