It was originally a passive one with V/V/T controls but I put a Bartolini pre-amp in it and it was absolutely transformed. Build quality was fantastic and it was quite light. The asymetric neck wasn't as pronounced as some I've played but there nevertheless. Customer service is second to none and any emails are answered quickly and usually by Mike Tobias himself.
