oldslapper Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 For those who live in and around Bath, Vintage & Rare are no longer the only game in town. http://www.guitarbitz.com/about-us-i1 Early days, so only a few MIM & USA fenders, but they'll match their on line prices, and decent stock of strings. Jakester Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Yep, went in on Monday and spent money. Nice chaps, dangerous having that so close to the office!! Quote
Cat Burrito Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Literally a stones throw from my old flat I had in the 90s. I'll check it out next time I'm in Bath. Quote

I've warned domestic management 😁 Made me laugh that I only noticed it when I was walking to V&R to drool over a YOB P bass they had in, and heard this loud telecaster twang coming from the other side of the street...and it's on Quiet Street.... BassBod Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Brave people....that must be an expensive space to rent. Best of luck! Quote
bazzbass Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 huh? the website says they've been there since 2004 ?? Quote

Stylon Pilson Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Cute coincidence, I was in Bath at the weekend and stumbled into this place on my way back to the car. As OP says, the range of basses on the wall is very "safe" but that's par for the course with music shops that don't explicitly specialise in bass. S.P. Quote
paddy109 Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 Good luck to them - Im sure to pop in there soon! Quote
ahpook Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 A bath guitar shop ? How's their stock of soapbar pickups ? Quote
ahpook Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017
Abandoned; they were a wash-out.
Arrrgh ! Quote
grahamd Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Popped in and said hello, friendly helpful staff. Elixir, Fender and D'Addario strings. Good luck to em Quote
anzoid Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Kind of annoyed they've moved to Bath as they were only a couple of minutes from where I live in Frome so was handy to pop in for strings and stuff. Bought two basses from them too - great service, always happy to chat and let you try guitars out, they're also happy to order stuff in (well, Fender/Squier at least...) Wishing them luck in Bath, but wish they'd stayed in Frome. Quote
paddy109 Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Sounds of Frome is still there - popped up last night after a trip to the Westway! Quote
anzoid Posted August 3, 2017 Posted August 3, 2017 Not had much luck with Sounds of Frome - when we first moved here I enquired about ordering some stuff through them, initially they seemed interested (and it was within what they could do... apparently) and then they just never bothered to follow through - so I've never really bothered with them since. Maybe need to re-visit... Quote
yorks5stringer Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Popped into Guitarbitz today, popped out a few minutes later. A few Squiers, some MIA and no Bass amps... Quote
