I still use SWR stuff a lot, but cash is tight and I've also got this amp in combo form, so makes sense to move it on.

This is the original early 90's version of SWR's studio amp, the Baby Blue combo, but in amp head only format and sold as the Electric Blue.

The amp is built into its own small wooden /carpet case, with a detachable lid on the front. Output is rated as 150w into 4ohms (min) or something like 120w into 8ohms. No noisy fan, XLR DI output with pre/post and ground lift. You could also use it as a high quality valve preamp/ DI box (one 12AX7/ECC83) as the speakers don't have to be connected.

Three band EQ with variable cut/boost and frequency selection and the SWR Aural Enhancer circuit, should you choose to use it. Also has a nifty EQ defeat switch on the Enhance pot, so you can compare your EQ settings quickly.

The amp is in excellent condition, although the case looks a bit worn. Everything working as it should - think I've got the original user manual somewhere as well.

Collection from Bristol /Bath area strongly preferred..its a lovely little amp, would be a shame to risk a courier chucking it about.

Happy to answer any questions

Hellzero - really not keen on shipping, had plenty of hassle with couriers breaking things. I'll wait a few more days and see if there is any local interest.

The last small amp I sent to Europe was something like £35, but that was a few years ago, it's probably a bit more now.

Had a few questions and PM's / will respond later when I get back to the computer.

Quick answer - built to be used in the wooden sleeve. It comes out easily enough (four bolts) but the metal case has no top or sides, so the amp is very open.
