Geek99
Can someone advise me what hardware I need to do a concentric "outer" blend (centre notch) and "inner" tone ? I think I can do the wiring it's the hardware choices I'm uncertain about To fit a Jazz bass with single coils and two volume controls The blend is for a piezo to be used or blended in to whatever the two volumes select Thanks Edited August 2, 2017 by Geek99
ikay
To mix the piezo and mag signals together you'll need something like the East MPM-01 buffer circuit. I'd suggest giving John a call and explaining what you need, he'll be able to sort you out.
Geek99
thank you, I have since read that piezos are quite low output so that may be the answer. I want it to be a bit stealth. http://www.east-uk.com/index.php/bass/piezo-magnetic-mixer/mpm-01.html Edited August 3, 2017 by Geek99
ikay
Re low output, it depends which piezo you're using. Hipshot/Graphtech piezo bridges have more output than your average humbucker!
Geek99
Thanks Mr east himself has been in touch to advise, maybe I'll start a new trend
Andyjr1515
I've just fitted a John East MPM-02 preamp/ blender to Mick's Psilos bass (hugely long build thread here: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/302963-finished-a-bridge-too-far/ ) - it worked very well indeed
