My bass has started sounding like I'm playing through a distortion pedal.

I thought it might have been the battery, but I've fitted a new one, it's still the same.

It's an Overwater.

I would try another battery maybe the new ones a dud unlikely I know but it happens if it's not that most likely a faulty pre

Could it be your Phil Jones combo rather than the bass? Have you tried a different bass with your rig?

No, the guy just replaced the control panel.

Excellent service. This was the very first one that had gone wrong.

I have had great service from synergy in the past.

I just got my M500 back from a local tech after replacing an led and cleaning up the pots, [it was easier than sending away] He was very complimentary about the design and quality of the build.
