Sat on the platform at Stoke having just swapped a Precision I'd put together from parts with a bass I've been after for a long time.

A Yamaha BEX-4C in Blue

It was a lovely bass I swapped - didn't think I'd move it on quickly but offered it to a nice chap who was bowled over by it.

And I wanted the big blue bass!

Needs a clean, and there's a bit of surface swirling, but...it'll be earning its keep soon enough so I'm not going to be to precious about it.

These are lovely. I've got an orange one and a fretless (reboarded) in blue; my favourite basses. Nylon-wound strings go well on them

Why Yamaha stopped building them I've no idea.

Ooft. I'm not normally a huge fan of brightly coloured basses but that looks very classy. Excellent work sir.
