grenadilla
I recently got a Sterling Ray 34 in Neptune Blue finish. I already have a natural Ray 34 that was made in Indonesia. They moved production to Korea and added quilted maple tops to an African Mahogany back. The bass is dark blue on the back. The Ray 34 has a Precision-width nut and big frets. Anyway it is a good bass for about $800. The head of my new one is a different piece of wood and the join is right above the nut ! The head does not tilt back much and I wonder why it is joined like that? With gig money I would go USA Stingray but this bass I could afford. 3-band EQ, maple fingerboard, 6-bolt neck attachment. * After reading other reviews now I think it is a finish mark where the back of the head is "glossy" and the neck is "matte". Whatever... Edited August 7, 2017 by grenadilla
