Hello from the oth....wait no! Greetings from Finland, a bass player here. Started playing in the early nineties, but playing's been on hold for some time (kids, building a house, work etc.) But now I'm starting to play more and more, again.

Been playing mostly jazz and funk/pop stylish music in various formations, but I also like more heavier stuff.

Currently I have a 6-string modulus from the nineties (which is on sale!) and a 4-string jazz bass replica built by a friend. As amplification I use a small EBS combo.

Earlier I had a nice Stingray from eighties (which I really miss :( ) and a Wal 5-string bass. One of the reasons for joining BC actually was to try to get a hold of a used Stingray and to sell my other stuff!

Happy bassing y'all!

Plenty to read and amuse you here, and lots to learn and share. Nice bass; good luck with the sale. B)

Hi there kaomny - hello from South Wales (where it is currently rather grey, damp & drab)
I took a break of over 20 years, for the same reasons. Fortunately, you picked up your bass again much sooner
The trick now, is to keep picking it up despite distractions and "orders from on high"!
Welcome to BC

Hi Kaomny

I spend a lot of time in Finland with work (I just got back from Espoo yesterday). Lovely country and lovely people. But very expensive beer

Welcome to BC... it's a great friendly place to hang out.

Mark.
