Micro Q-Tron

The band wanted to introduce Mercy (Duffy) to the set, so I thought "what the hell" and had a bash at it.

I always play as an FX-free zone, and the synth-bass sound just wasn't an option for me, but my standard P-bass sound didn't work at all.

On the other hand, I happen to have an unused Q-Tron knocking about. Plugged it in, set the dials to midnight, and ... woohoo!

Took it along to rehearsal yesterday, hit the footswitch at the appropriate moment, and both guitarists damned near fell over with surprise.

I ended up using the Q-Tron for half a dozen other numbers (Superstition sounded particularly fine) and it is now a must-take piece of kit.

Thank you Electro-Harmonix, thank you so much. Gush gush gush.

:)

We have been doing Mercy for a while now. Ive never needed any Fx as i play just the bass line and not the keyboard line but i have a Mini Q-tron at home. Might give it a go. Ive not used mine for over a year as its too big to carry around.

How do you find the micro in general?
