UKLooney
Started as a Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar SS Bass. Replaced the pickups with a Fender wide range humbucker, and a Gretsch 2202 bass humbucker. Also changed out hardware for a Fender high mass bridge and Fender modern player tuners. And a new pickguard from Sims custom shop. Hope you like the pics Edited August 12, 2017 by UKLooney
dannybuoy
Nice. I was thinking recently of getting the same bass but adding chrome Thunderbird pickups to it!

UKLooney
Looks like a Royal Blood signature bass! I didn't happen to sell you the pickup and tuners on Ebay did I?
Yeah, that sounds right. And thanks again for the quick delivery. Jean-Luc Pickguard
Looks fantastic. These are great basses for modding. It looks like you swapped out the control plate as well - is that a single volume & tone? I have the same bass in candy apple red with black headstock. I added a hi-mass bridge as I had one in my bits box and swapped out the pickups & electronics for an EMG PJX set which I'm running at 24v off a pair of car keyfob 'plipper' batteries for additional headroom. The EMG pots have solid shafts so I used a set of USA vintage style knobs which add a bit of class. Unusually for a squier, the neck on mine is made from a really nice looking bit of flame maple. keatonr555
This is awesome, I've been compiling the parts to do this for a while now. Are there any pictures under the hood? I've never done any guitar electronics wiring before so was hoping for some input! I've got a mudbucker and a Gretsch Super'tron guitar pickup going in the bridge!
