Guest aDx
So.... had a play of this bass ... and Its amazing to play!!! really low action, fast fingerboard, and the weight!! SOOOO light! Deep rich tone too! and ALL the notes ring, with no dead spots, even at the highest frets! No head dive, nicely balanced The shape is not to everyones taste, but it is a bold statement, and really a work of art! I think the build quality is top notch! well done Andy!! For me the controls would take a while to get my head round as they are very hidden, but only a minor niggle really Other thing tho, (and not a problem for me as I only play fingers or pick) is you cant pop the top string for slap stylie! (mick is aware of this tho and may alter it?) So..... all in all.... very nice aDx
Thunderbird
I'm not keen on the shape of it but I think it shows a ton of skill making it and it's irrelevant what I think as long as mick is happy BTW why can't you slap on the bass maybe andy should patent a non slappable bass he would make millions of people happy lol

TheGreek
Sorry to disappoint...it's not un-slappable...Psilos doesn't have a raised fretboard so the G string is relatively close to the body, meaning that popping requires using the tip of the finger rather than the middle. The easy solution would be to rout a 5mm x 2" long groove under and along the string - the other solution is to persevere. It's probably a 5 hours round trip from mine to Andy's - to do about 3 minutes work...doesn't make sense really...as I said "persevere", it only affects slappers, not finger players. Thanks to Ad BTW for the review...
