Bassy
Hi, can anyone help on this? - i have a q-tron+ but when i use it, i have to have the gain almost completely down for the sweep to work. I'm using a Fender USA Jazz deluxe which has an active eq. The pedal sounds better when i play in passive mode on the Jazz, but if i turn the gain up even just to 7 o'clock the overload red led comes on and the sweep does nothing. Is there a way to trim the gain input or even a mod to sort this out? Thanks.
Quatschmacher
Have you tried turning the boost mode off? Also, the gain needs to be set quite differently when using down sweep instead of up.
Bo0tsy
I have the old big box Q Tron, it can be a finicky old beast. I found the best way to dial it in is to set the gain (sensitivity) low and the peak (Q) high and slowly adjust the gain up and peak down to your liking. It will also need some readjustment to trigger the filter across different basses. Hope that helps.
Quatschmacher
Bootsy is right, the sensitivity on these is crazy. On the plus side, it means it can be used with stuff like electric pianos which have a much lower output. Small turns are the way to go.
