Not looked in a while but I think when they come up on BC, they often go for a fair bit less than the start on this.

The Musicians are highly regarded - Nick Smith and Dave Swift are both serial owners. Seen these sell for over a grand before - this one looks well looked after.

The weight has always put me off, I remember reading about a collector who had two, the "light weight one came in at 15lbs the heavy one at a back breaking 22lbs!

[/quote] These are probably the Ibanez Studio model, very similar to the Musician model but significantly heavier - for the tone I guess. I've had both briefly and the Studio was close to 15lbs whereas my old Musician was 11lbs from memory...still too heavy so I sold that one too but as already said they're truly great basses and tone monsters.
