Happy Jack Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 We're putting together (or trying to) a classic rock'n'roll band, either a 3-piece or if we can find a decent pianist a 4-piece. The aim is to play the original music ... Chuck, Elvis, Buddy, Little Richard, you get the picture (yes, we see). What I chiefly need right now is a guitarist who actually enjoys playing this stuff, and playing it properly. There will be no 24-bar solos played at ludicrous volume with a foot on the monitor and the face distorted into a rather sad grimace. If the song originally had a guitar solo then that's what gets played. If the song had no guitar solo then there won't be one. It's always good if everyone in a band can sing, do BVs, contribute harmonies, but it's not actually essential. We're based in NW London - Harrow & Kilburn. Quote
