Skol303 Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 Still one of the most wriggly earworms out there IMO... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWP-AsG5DRk Quote
Dad3353 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 And now we'll attract all those feeling offended on behalf of all those belittled Egyptians for the insulting portrayal of their way of walking..! Cheers..! Quote
Mornats Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 What a great bunch of tunes. Another high scoring month (I rate each track out of ten). Quote
Dad3353 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 I've always found that a little bit intriguing; five voters have cast fourteen votes. Perfectly legitimate, of course (voting is not yet obligatory...), but it seems that, every month, someone decides that there are less than three pieces worthy of note. Maybe there's another explanation..? Dunno; just seems odd to me, that's all. Quote
Mornats Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 I wonder if a few voters think they've only got one vote. Quote
Dad3353 Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 (edited) Arithmetic tells me that, if that were the case, others have chosen more than three..! Edited August 26, 2017 by Dad3353 Quote
lurksalot Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 I think that the vote button on mine might have an intermittent glitch , maybe that's why there are a few votes short Quote

I'll get back to thinking about important stuff, then. As you were, men; nothing to see here. (Pops back behind the parapet and tries, by telekinesis, to untie his shoelaces. Gives up after a while; they're Velcro, anyway. Twiddles thumbs for a few seconds, then nods off again...) Quote
alittlebitrobot Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I've voted but hadn't commented. There was two I really liked and a couple of others jostling for third. I have no doubt that there's at least three worth voting for. I'm really impressed at the standard of entry month after month, considering the brief. And it shows me that there is something muscular about composition. It's not just lightning-struck inspiration, but something you can improve at by doing it repeatedly. ...or, at least, I hope one can improve.. Quote

Dad3353 Posted August 30, 2017 Posted August 30, 2017 (edited) If not already done, don't forget to cast a glance at the ... August 2017 Photo Comp... ... and vote for your three favourite photos. The result is very close at the moment; all votes count..! The subject this month was 'Architecture', which inspired many different shots ... Edit: Voted, of course, both here and for the photo comp. Basschat has many talented folks contributing to these topics, I say. Edited August 30, 2017 by Dad3353 Quote
MoonBassAlpha Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Very hard to split the top 5 for me. Mine and one other at a lower level of execution. Well done to the rest of you! Quote

TorturedSaints Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 If I'd voted on time, it wouldn't have changed the results. The consistently high standard makes me envious (in a nice way of course). Well done all. Quote
