Royal mail decided to bash my bass in transit and it has knocked a chunk of finish off down to the wood. They said they would need a quote from a 'specialist' in order to give me some compensation. The guy who bought my guitar is in Wales. Does anyone know anyone who could quote this or has anyone else experienced this before and if so is there another way around it I.e. producing your own 'quote' thanks.

Don't "produce" your own - they'll want something they can check.

Get 3 quotes too.

I know of (but never used) Gareth Lewis in Cardiff. Supposed to be good.
