amp stands and/or trolleys

i'm looking into buying a stand for my rig, ideally in some form which combines wheels to move it. It'll need to be one that raises the whole stack horizontally without tilting it since I have two 1x10 cabs and a 3U rackbag.

anyone have any ideas?

Our guitarist has a tilted one and it works a treat. I have a head and cab though so would need a horizontal one. Any recommendations?

Though looking at it I'm not 100% sure the platform is completely horizontal.

My ex-Bands guitard bought one. Two minutes with a hacksaw on the front legs, and it stood perfectly horizontal. (The rubber stoppers remove and re-fit easily) Two bungee cords later, he could wheel it in and out of gigs, just taking the bungees off whilst playing. It carried a 2x12" (upright) and a 2u rack case.

I use a [url="http://www.primrose-london.co.uk/truck-best-garden-trolley-there-p-17.html"]tri truck[/url]. It's superb over rough ground and can convert into a flat bed trolley too.

It's VERY heavy though. And with an EBS non-neo 4x10 on in trolly mode it'll only go over faily smooth sufaces without a LOT of effort.

are you going to use that with your full Hartke stack??

sorry, just re-read your sig and noticed your selling them. So your using it with a head with one cab?

I have a light weight fold-away trolley, pretty bog-standard which you can buy from any cheap hardware store and it just about does the job. I've used it a lot as I do a lot of gigs around london on public transport. I would recommend getting something which isn't too heavy itself since the last thing you want is to add more weight to what ever it is your handling. That said, there is nothing more stressful than having to cross town with a bass and full rig being uncertain that your wheels won't buckle and having to stoop because the old ladies it was designed for aren't the height of your average bass player. Its a tricky one, but, since traveling and loading in and out are generally low points in any gigging experience, all in all I think trolleys are well worth investing in, and they smell less than roadies too.

Apparrently there is something called the TRI-KART 800 or something like that.
Expensive. But may be the best thing if you're always gigging.

used one to move a piano at the weekend.

seeing it in use immediately made me want to build one for gigs.
