tommorichards Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 Is there a site or a book, with a list of the various models fender have done throughout the years, and their place of manufacturer, colour options, hardware etc? Basically, say you have a natural body jazz with block pearl inlays on a rosewood board, made in japan, it could give a date it was made. A reference book of sorts. mainly out of curiosity. Quote
JapanAxe Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 There is one, I think it's called 'The Internet'. Quote
ikay Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 "The Fender Bass – An Illustrated History" - http://101basses.com/the-fender-bass-an-illustrated-history/ This covers from 1951 to 2001. It doesn't have the comprehensive level of detail that you're after but covers the main models and significant changes over those years. This site is also a really useful reference for vintage Fender - http://www.guitarhq.com/fender.html Quote
fretmeister Posted September 1, 2017 Posted September 1, 2017 There are several online serial number search sites already. But not even Fender can tell you the month that a bass was actually finished (I tried to find out for a strat I own) Quote
