Hi Everyone. I have just joined bass chat as I have recently started to play bass seriously. I have played bits and pieces in my last band but really want to get to grips with it now. I have played 6/12 string rhythm for years but now have a need to get bass to a good standard too. One of the reasons I am posting this is that I have been trying to track down someone in the Hastings (East Sussex) area who is able to give lessons/guidance - but with no luck. I've tried a couple of websites but no responses.

So does anyone know of a person willing to help out with some lessons. Obviously happy to pay for their time. I have decent kit (I think) Fender Precision and Line 6 Lowdown 175 plus Fender frontman for practice. The only slight problem is that damage to my right index finger tip means it is a bit painful to play with fingers in the "approved" way and ideally I would like to use a pick.

Anyway hope someone can help.

Happy playing
CHRIS
