Pedals, Stereo Output vs Mono

Your amp is most likely mono, so just use the mono output.

If you happened to run dual amps, or were recording with it, you could use both outputs simultaneously, assuming the two outputs are individual mono channels (rather than the stereo one being designed to be used alone and actually serving up two channels to a stereo TRS jack).

Some pedals (mostly modulation/delays etc) effect left right differently, so you send each output to different amps/pa channels and get a wider sound. Some give a dry out so you can do a wet/dry setup. You'll have to RTFM to find out which your pedals do.

Some pedals have a TRS output for this, some have two mono outs. The main advantage of TRS is smaller footprint usually.
