These basses need no introduction as their quality is well documented. Absolutely superb fit & finish & quite simply one of the best P basses out there, plays & sounds like a dream.

This is an authentic Japanese model from 2011 before production switched to Mexico. Totally stock & in as-new condition apart from one tiny ding on the underside below the tone control as shown in the pics. Zero buckle rash & nominal pickguard scratching due to only ever being used for recording a handful of times in my smoke-free studio. This really is a pristine specimen of a well regarded, discontinued bass.

Strung with D'addario EXL nickels. Includes the original thumbrest that shipped with it (never installed) & Fender gig bag.

Would prefer collection from Cardiff or nearby but will ship within UK in gigbag & Fender box at buyer's expense & arrangement.

Did Fender do a P bass with blocks and binding in the 70s?
[/quote]

I think I've read that there were a couple of block Ps made in the 70s but I might be wrong. Who cares, looks sweet no?

I think they did indeed. Squier have done a Classic Vibe 70's bass, all in black, with maple board, blocks & bindings
I'm sure someone will be here any minute now, with a photo of one, or a catalogue with one in :)
