walshy Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Evening all, I've found one of these locally, about 20yr old and in fairly good condition. Not a bad price either £350. Obviously it's not lightweight but I'm tempted to have a punt to pair with my 400+. Question is has anyone got/used one and anything to look out for when I test drive tomorrow? It's got a 1x15 and 4x12 configuration. Any help appreciated 👍 Quote
jacko Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 are you sure it's not a 15 and four tens? standard powerhouse 1000 cabinet wanted one for ages . fretmeister Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 137 lb. Bravo to anyone who can cope with that! Quote
mrtcat Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Had one. Sounded great but totally unusable anywhere with even a single step let alone a flight of stairs. Quote
walshy Posted October 1, 2017 Author Posted October 1, 2017 Yep I think I've decided against. Look great, sounded great but man it was uber heavy! Quote
DirtyVertebrae Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 Had one of these up until recently. It was crazy heavy. Actually got a 2x10 and 1x15 powerhouse going spare as a pair now. I actually prefer that to the ph1000 Quote
Jack Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017
Evening all, I've found one of these locally,
Is it still for sale do you know? Inquiring minds want to know! Quote
basshead56 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 I had the Powerhouse 8x10. Loved the tone, so focused and clear (and it made ALL the trousers onstage flap) but ridiculously impractical for anything other than Wembley with a team of roadies provided. Quote
