Morning BC'ers

I'm thinking of getting one of these. Does anybody have experience of them please. Quality, fit and finish, playability, sound etc.

Thanks

My 2 custom Elwood Ls are stunning. They're light as a feather, play really easily (I ordered 33" scale, 41mm nut width) and sound great. Construction is super quality, as is the finish. The real beauty of them is, not only what I've already stated, but the options not usually available on popular US brands at a very reasonable price. Check out the dedicated thread http://basschat.co.uk/topic/254344-the-official-maruszczyk-club/page__fromsearch__1 You can buy direct if you want a custom build or off the peg. However, Bass Direct now have a very good stock of the various designs too http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/MARUSZCZYK_INSTRUMENTS.html

Just figure out what you'd like in a bass... and request that, specify it as accurately as you can, and that's what you'll get and it'll be glorious

Just make sure you know what you want, exactly, because THAT is what you'll get.

My first Maruszczyk was a pretty much standard Jake (Precision, with an added double J at the bridge). I went for all the standard specs for the model, except I specified the neck dimensions and finish. I don't think it added much (if anything?) to the cost above a stock Jake, and if it did it must have been because I go for lacquered glossy necks. For me, a huge part of what I like about in an instrument is the neck. The fact that you can spec the neck just-so and it doesn't mean an extra expense... is well worth it. Of course, the rest of the bass is really good too.

So, don't hesitate, go for it!
