Heathy
For sale is my first bass, a Westone Thunder Jet, bought new in 1985. It underwent the following modifications for its 30th Birthday: - Seymour Duncan SPB1 pickup - Babicz Bridge - KiOgon wiring kit - Dome style knobs All mods were professionally checked over, and the bass was professionally set up. Unfortunately, it is still not being used so it's time to move it on. I'm looking for £150. All original parts and a new set of Schaller strap locks are included. Understandably it picked up some ‘mojo’ from the teenage Heathy, mainly buckle rash on the back and a few minor knocks here and there. Collection preferred, or buyer to arrange shipping. However, I would be happy to meet up within a reasonable distance (I am based in North Essex). No trades please. Pics below. Edited November 4, 2017 by Heathy
Paul S
I have a serious soft spot for Westone Thunders and the Thunder Jet in particular. With those mods that is a serious amount of bass for next to nothing. Have a 'if I weren't only using 5ers I'd be driving up the A130' bump, sir! wright/watt
I remember watching the brilliant Stuart Morrow of New Model Army playing a Thunder Jet in the mid eighties. His individual style was really able to shine through with this bass.Great bass this.GLWTS
