Mornats
Another month without my Doom array! But I do see my Joshua Bell Violin all over this one as well as some choirs and mystical voices. Great pic!

lurksalot
Lurksalittle had some ideas for this , and may even have an ensemble to perform it , I doubt it will come off as she is still to young to realise the work needed to realise her ambition , however , hope springs etc and I would just love it to happen
Dad3353
I hear that the Vienna Philharmonic are free next week; maybe a tie-up with the little'un could work..? Just a thought.
Not sure which book this is an illustration from, but guessing that the illustrator could be a Tarrant and therefore might have been a great Grandmother to a presenter of 'Tis Was', which was pretty wacky..... then I reckon anything goes !! xgsjx
I’ve got something started already. Got a bass part last night & worked on some drums & keys at lunch. I’ve got better inspiration than I did from my own choice last mont!
Bilbo
Sorry, Dad. I edited your post instead of quoting it. Sorry if it fails to inspire.

It's a good distraction, though, so I'm game for an attempt, at least. You never know, I might get higher than third this time..! Dad3353
Well, just how lucky can you get..? Just when a picture comes along for which I had, for many reasons, no particular inspiration, I chanced upon the very source I needed, and no farther afield than at the end of my own garden..! Out early, thinking to do a little light weeding, I thought I caught, out of the corner of my eye, a furtive movement in the hedgerow. Hardly daring to breath, I carefully took out my portable recording device (one never knows when an opportunity will strike, and struck it had indeed..!) and managed to capture the antics of this dainty creature, unaware of my presence..! She had fashioned a swing from the branches of our old apple tree, and, singing gently to herself, began to rock to and fro, higher and higher, faster and faster. Too much, though, for the poor old tree, which, despite the slight weight of the mere slip of an elf, gave audible signs of discomfort. Hearing this complaint, the swinging slowed and came to a halt. The moment was ended; the creature vanished. All that was left was the continued chirping and warbling of the wildlife in the vicinity, and the low rush of the morning breeze. I scurried back to my 'pica-studio' to listen eagerly to the sounds captured; here they are... xgsjx
Well as Bilbo wanted Rock & Funk, I thought I'd give it a go. This is no calm rocking back & forth, it's giving it yeehaah! Ends up a bit more fusion, but I've tried to keep it rocking & funky. Wasn't easy to play, but I enjoyed it. https://soundcloud.com/gxmix/rockin-yo-funky-swing The Mrs hates it. Mornats
Mine's a little ambitious. Which means it's gonna sound awful without a lot of work but it may sound good after it.
Bilbo
I haven't even started thinking about it yet!
MoonBassAlpha
I've got a rough mix done today. I will be looking at getting someone to add piano and organ before I publish, just in case it sounds better than the acoustic guitar and tremolo electric respectively. At least I'll contribute this month! I've even got a title, one for all you francophiles out there, its Absinthe (please, no "makes the heart grow fonder" jokes!) Dad3353
It's the absence of the apostrophe which is more worrying.
MoonBassAlpha
That's what lack of oxygen to the brain does. I posted just after playing squash. I beat my boss 3-0, so I guess that's another year without a pay rise
lurksalot
I'm in , its a little underwhelming TBH , trying to set something up with Lurksalittle and her mates just didn't happen , and this entry is 'lame' in her words I couldnt get any other angle so bland it is unfortunately https://soundcloud.com/lurksalot/fairy-nuff
Mornats
I had to take a week off from working on mine as I ended up with a blocked ear. Was a scary week as it started with a ringing in my ears for a while then almost total hearing loss in one ear and muffled hearing in the other. It's fine now but wow, it's never too early to start looking after your ears! Once I find the thread on here about ear plug recommendations I'm going to order a pair of custom moulded ones for gigs. Don't care about the cost after this. I had a decent pair of off-the-shelf ones but I reckon it was inserting those that compacted wax in my ear leading to my problems. My track's not sounding as I'd like it but I can get what I want to do this weekend I think. (All at very low volume as my cleared ears are a little sensitive.) adamg67
I've just got my little studio room all back together, after dismantling it, redecorating and putting in some new furniture to maximise the space, I'm looking forward to another go at this, thinking I should have time before the end of Oct... and someone posted a picture of a fairy. Typical!
Dad3353
...and someone posted a picture of a fairy...
An elf, surely..?
