dudewheresmybass Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 The best simple headphone amp I've used is the ehx one. Cheap, sounds reasonable and incredibly portable. Since the op didn't specify anything further than simple headphone amp, the ehx fits the bill admirably. Quote
ped Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 I've just sat down with the PX4D and set up my clean preset. It's a great device - really quiet when set up properly (all the presets are rubbish) and it has some great sounding effects, especially the delays and chosussessess. The built in drum patterns are fun, too.. I looked at the Zoom B1on too, it looks great - I'm not such a fa of the floor box format, though. I'm sure it's an excellent box. Quote
jezzaboy Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 The Zoom B1on is a great bit of kit. Tuner, drum machine, lots of good effects and not a lot of cash: whats not to like? And later on, stick it in the front end of your amp. Fabby doo!! Quote
DrPAR Posted October 26, 2017 Author Posted October 26, 2017 Thanks again, everyone, for your advice and information. This is just an update to let you know that I invested in a pair of Sennheiser HD 206 headphones and a Zoom B1on multi-effects pedal. So far, I'm a very happy chap and can't believe that I've got a lot of equipment for an outlay of only £70. Quote
ped Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Very good sir. My Pandora stopped working yesterday so I may get the zoom too. Quote
DrPAR Posted October 26, 2017 Author Posted October 26, 2017 Well, having originally asked for advice, let me recommend the Zoom B1on to you without any hesitation whatsoever. Quote
