Shockwave
More pics at bottom of the thread! Has been my main gigging bass for a while. Its got a lovely flamed maple neck. Used to have a Bartolini but now is wired with a Nordstrand 5.2 pickup. The wiring is slightly different to the average SR5, Most have a triple coil pickup, This one has a dual coil pup, So instead of having a nasal tone in the mid position it has a very dark and dubby sound. The other positions sound exactly as they should. Trans red with black pearloid guard. Its got a huge sound and plays brilliantly. Comes with a Hiscox Liteflite case worth lots. Was born on 6 April 2001 and was originally sold to Guitar Center in Rockville, MD. Would rather this bass was picked up from Bristol. Postage would be used as a last resort. Would prefer a part ex for a nice US jazz and some money. Might consider a Stingray 4 string with the original style bridge. Rob. Something with a really low action, Decent tone... Maybe a 5 string. Pretty open about things. Wouldnt mind a 53' reissue in 2 tone sunburst, or a G&L L1000 plus some cash. slaphappygarry
Ok, no bother. The body is only a cosmetic alteration and the john east is an upgrade. It still has the passive (stock) sound of the instrument. Best of luck
