YouMa Posted October 11, 2017 Share Posted October 11, 2017 I just got myself a sire v7 and had only ran it through my zoom B3 with headphones. The sound was ok but not great. Just ran it through my trace combo and it sounds amazing. Anybody else have problems with these units changing there tone or sucking it dry. I think it sounds a bit too deep. i love the passive tone though. Through my rig i find i have more control and it doesnt bother me so much. I still prefer the passive mode though. Machines Posted October 12, 2017 Share Posted October 12, 2017 I have this with my B3. Seems to colour the tone a lot even with no patches enabled. I have noticed i seem to be getting some sort of natural compression aswell which is weird cos i wasnt using the compressors on the b3. [/quote] I wonder if there is a limiter being applied when headphones are attached or something like that? Have you tried the Active / Passive switch on the B3? Maybe it’ll work better if you set to active, since it should reduce the level of the input signal - and may reduce the compression effect you are getting. Good luck!
