exmando
I've got a graphtec piezo bridge on my 5 string. When I plug it into a roland GR 55 synth I get a kind of 'undertone' - i.e. whatever effect I'm using it's as If I'm playing the low B all the time I've configured the pedal for pickup type etc but nothing seems to make a difference I also seem to be getting a hum while I'm setting up the pedal - i.e. when I'm not using an effect. This isn't evident on the normal pickup# Has anybody experienced this?
ped
Some ideas: Have you got another GK cable you can try? Have you tried another power supply? Have you tried it in a different power socket/another room? I don’t suppose you have another bass with a GK Pickup in it? If you’re near York you could try one of mine to see if it’s the unit or the bass/pickup
exmando
I've tried a different unit /cable - thanks for the offer though - I haven't tried a different socket though which I will do - thanks !
ped
Yeah give that a try. I found mine was really noisy once but it turned out to be a non Roland 13 pin cable which wasn't much good.
