VSTs/built in Ableton/Logic effects to make your bass sound more synthy?

Just wondering if anyone knows of any cool ways to get your bass to sound more like a synth in a DAW using effects, filters ect?

Not sure really, looking to experiment.

But just usable synth sounds for eletronic music.

Try this: Pitch shift down an octave, mix 100% - add mild distortion - auto filter plugin (mess about with cutoff & resonance, try low pass or band pass filters) - add chorus - add compression - add a bit of delay.

[ambient]

Reverb, modulation effects, delay, some mild distortion and use an ebow.
