Rich
What it sez. Got fretless? Let's see it. I'll start the ball rolling. Here's my Yamaha RBX765A, defretted (beautifully) by Jon Shuker. Other mods include a new and much chunkier bridge, the stock 2 band preamp replaced with a 3 band with sweepable mid (to my mind, the best eq for a fretless), and a repositioned strap button to bring the neck up -- an idea stolen from Alain Caron. It's currently wearing Roto Nexus strings but they're shagged out, so some D'Add nickels are next on the list. Come on then, what have you got? funkgod
Nice bass, Rich, the trans red looks cool, book matched 2 piece body as well.... niccceee Here is mine hanging out with chums. i think they talk about me when im not there... so... he used you yesterday did he ? the barstool kept that quiet. its one of them cheap HK 6 string that ebay were flogging off about 5/7 years ago that are just impossible to get now. how can anything so cheap be so well made and sound so good, my bargain of the decade. i love it. bartelby
My Ibanez Portamento: and my Warwick Corvette (long suffering project bass): Defretted and super glue coating on the board. Only recently assembled as Barefaced had the pickups and preamp for a while. I need to get new strings on it as these are totally dead but initial signs are it works very nicely. I need to sand back and redo the superglue as my technique for applying it got much better over the 7 coats of glue. But if it sounds as good as I think it might, then the Portamento will be going.

Cato
To be fair, a good number of the posts on that thread have lost their pictures, probably since Photobucket changed their terms and conditions, so a new thread is no bad thing. blablas
Now that looks intriguing. What's the spec on that now? Pickups and electronics are from a Hohner B2A and a old Gibson 3D bridge, besides the defretting all other parts are mostly still stock. Bassassin
Currently, the top half of this: Preceded by this: And this - which in a case of brutal irony, I sold because I thought it was too heavy! Had a beautiful (and lightweight) Japanese Ibanez SR800FL prior to that, which I didn't get on with due to lack of cheat lines. What did I do with that? Swapped it for a Peavey T-40. Not sure what it is with me & back-breaking boat anchors.
SimonEdward
OK. This is my Jaydee GA24 Active long scale fret-less bass (which originally started life as fretted), and had a new lined board fitted before I owned her. The pick up's are also not original.
Mastodon2
This is my recently acquired Adamovic Jupiter 4. Crappy photo, taken on a dull day. You may recognise the studio photos, which show off the figuring of the wood a lot better.
