I am posting this before I change my mind as I can't justify having two spare amp heads!

Most Basschatters will be familiar with the Genz Benz Streamliner 900, a 3kg bass head rated at 900W into 4ohm (500W into 8ohm), which somehow manages to be light weight (3kg) whilst still feeling chunky and solid. I have yet to come across a situation where the amp has not been loud enough.

If you are not familiar with the Streamliner 900, it combines an all-valve pre-amp featuring control over a choice of 3 mid-range frequencies (similar to the Ampeg approach) with a 900W Class D power stage. The valves run from a proper 300volt DC supply. It is currently fitted with three JJ ECC83S valves (better known in the UK as 12AX7's) for quality and reliability. Take a look at the photo of the rear panel for an idea of the amp's connectivity.

Here's a link to the manual. You might also find useful the Basschat user reviews (including my own!), this thread on the tone controls, and this video from Ed Friedland:

The amp comes boxed with its manual. I have never had an issue with the blue LEDs. There are some scratches and light marking on the casing, and a couple of small but deep chunks out of the alloy back pane; next to the DI output. Full disclosure: a couple of times I have heard a low-level buzz through the connected speaker, but this disappeared when I gave the casing a sharp tap (this is a standard TV maintenance technique from back in the day!)

I am looking for £365 which includes tracked insured delivery to mainland Britain. No trades thanks.
