philw
Anybody else noticed this from Schecter: http://www.schecterguitars.com/international/bass/session/stiletto-session-5-fretless-aged-natural-satin-detail I know it's bonkers but I've always been intrigued by the idea... P PS. GAK have them in stock at £719 for the fiver and £689 for the four string. Too expensive now for a punt, but maybe when they're clearing stock? uk_lefty
I can't see a real-world use for it. Now a fretless with a slap-bar at the end of the neck I can see, but this, no.
BigRedX
Ibanez make something similar. The neck joint on that Schecter is particularly ugly though. Edited October 17, 2017 by BigRedX

Never seen a half-fret one before though.
tony_m
Maybe I'm just being a bit thick / missing the point here, but the spec says: Inlays Ebony Side Blocks Frets Fretless Isn't that what we're seeing in the picture, a fretless fingerboard with ebony inlays stretching halfway across it rather than lines, and definitely not half-frets?
