Guest joshua
hi there, i have a ported 2x10 cab, but i was wondering if i could use it in conjunction with a sealed 4x10 cab to get the 4ohms from my head. is this a good idea, or is mixing ported and sealed cabs a bit like mixing neo and ceramic speakers; i.e. not done? many thanks for your help
Protium
Shouldn't be a problem.

I've never read that you shouldn't mix ceramic and neo magnets!! 2. I use a ported and a sealed cab at the moment and it sounds brilliant - a 4x8 (sealed) and a 1x15 (ported). If it sounds good, it probably is good
bass_ferret
If it sounds good it is good. But generally, mixing different cabs produces upredicatble results and can sound odd because of phase cancellation.
