yorks5stringer
So I'm thinking of getting something from Reverb, cost £10 and £10 postage. As it is coming from the USA is it likely to cost me any more at these low levels of expenditure?
ambient
Don't think so as it's below the level at which tax comes in, I think that £35.
dannybuoy
Actually the limit is £15, and that total includes postage, so at £20 you are over the limit: https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty If you are unlucky you will have to pay 20% plus an £8 fee. I’d guess you have a 50% chance of getting away with it though!
Kevin Dean
If you are self employed it cause a tax inspection ..that happened to me .
yorks5stringer
Same item is £30 inc. in UK, so may be safer to get it from here?
