ZMech Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 (edited) I realised that in the last couple of months I'm not sure wether i've spent more time playing bass than looking at basschat. whilst i was working this summer there was definitely more basschat. Anyone else have the same problem? Edited November 9, 2008 by Zach Quote
wotnwhy Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 at the moment, i only have internet access at my mums house, i'm here for an couple of hours a day so do get to spend a bit of time here. but then i'm also playing a fair bit of bass at home as well so it evens out. back in the day though when i had my own internet access. i think i had to log on every half hour to make sure i hadn't missed anything. so it deffinitly one back then! peted Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Definitely browsing BassChat! I can do that at work, my manager might get a bit suspect if I had my bass next to my desk I'd love to be able to get home from work and then spend 6+ hours playing bass, but as I've just written in another topic - I've got a 3 month old son who becomes my responsibility when I get home to give my Missus a break. Adrenochrome Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Out of work I spend a lot of time looking after my boys and with a wireless laptop I do a lot of band admin and surfing whilst looking after them. I'd rather practice more but it ain't easy whilst chasing after the monsters. Quote
Stylon Pilson Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I didn't vote, because, as others have remarked, it's not usually a direct choice between the two, so I didn't know which of the first two to go for. S.P. Quote
bluesparky Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I do seem to spend more time thinking about playing bass and researching things to play on bass, rather than actually doing it. Bit stooopid really! I wouldn't have so much to moan about my lack of progress if i actually got my arse into gear and picked it up (which is sitting less than a metre away from me, and it's even plugged in!!). D'oh!
