Ashdown Rootmaster RM 500 1x15 Combo

Plyed through one of these at rehearsal tonight

Very impressed with the sound allthough didn't get to push it and played with all the controls flat

You need a head torch to see the control labels in anything but good light but apart from that it looks like a winner. Be an interesting comparison with a markbass combo

We rehearse at Pirate Studios so you might come across one if you do to (there are a few dotted around the country). Given the retail I'm guessing that Ashdown have dished a few out at below cost to places like pirate.

the rootmaster amps are excellent, not played the combo though but love the sound of mine. Yeah trying to read the front panel on a dark stage is impossible but it does look cool.

I've got the RM 500 head with an RM 1x15 cab that handles 500w so basically the same thing but in two bits. Personally having the eq flat then giving the tiniest adjustment is fine for me. I really rate them, great value too.
