whats the difference between bass eq pedal and multi fx eq?

hi all,

I have a zoom b3 and am just contemplating getting an eq pedal (my amp has basic bass/mid/high eq only).

I could use the b3 - but i there any difference between digital eq and analogue eq?

I wouldnt be looking anything expensive - more like the behring £25 bass equalizer to give me the high mid control if required.
