How to treat Purple Heart fingerboards

As title really. About to buy an Ibanez srsc805 and wondered what I should or should not do to treat a purple heart fingerboard?

Boiled linseed oil. Put it on a soft cloth, paper towel or kitchen roll and wipe it on. Leave for a few minutes and wipe it off.

Pretty much the same as rosewood really.

I wouldn't personally use linseed oil as its job is to seal and preserve wood - unless of course that's what you're looking to do - lemon oil (or similar) will do a better job of conditioning, although you will need to re-apply as required...
