Behringer vintage tube overdrive

Does anyone here use one for bass? How does it sound, and have you upgraded the tube?

I like the idea of having a tube/ valve overdrive pedal and these seem like a good cost effective option...

I've used lots of OD pedals with a valve and largely the valve is included merely as a marketing ploy. The best 'valve' sound I got was from a Tech 21 VT Bass, which doesn't actually have a valve in it...

There are some really good valve preamps out there, but not at Behringer money.
