PawelG
Hello, We’re preparing a little set list for our new vocalist, and I have a little problem with one track. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=F9dytLAEPYE I got everything down, but when it comes to the bridge at 2:25, I would like to play something simpler. I have no idea how to do it as the bass there plays such a big role. Is it a good idea? I’m only thinking that as the keyboard player in the band I’m in is quite amazing, and I think he could play a little something there. Suggestions what to do please. Maybe there’s no point of changing anything and just play it as it is? Thank you
gjones
Play along with the vocal melody. Possibly subtle chords or a harmony. Imagine what Pino Palladino would play Edited November 8, 2017 by gjones
discreet
Play it as it is. It works, and anyone who knows the song would probably expect to hear it.
FuNkShUi
I don't understand why you'd want to change it personally? Think it's a nice part
PawelG
Don't know, just felt like maybe it could be a good idea. But I agree that with most covers - it's best to try to get as close to the original as possible. And that's what I'll do. Thanks
